Thanx Yero for sharing the Femi Peters story. These penny-anny prosedcutors have no clue of the law and constitution of Gambia. Femi Peters did not commit any crime (public order or APRC order) within the Banjulk Court's jurisdiction. On the contrary and as you rightly indicated, it is IGP Badjie who ran roughshod of the APRC law and even Badjie ought not be tried by the Banjul court. He ought to be removed by Yahya's electric broom and it will be the purview of the UDP to sue the Police Department and IGP Badjie for NOT ISSUING PERMIT FOR LAWFUL Gathering. And UDP had not done that out of mercy for the clueless. YET.

Haruna.

Folks,

The problems with these courts are the mercenary judges like Wowo, Buba Jawo and the run-a-away justice Paul. There is nothing that hurts more than seeing an "unfair" verdict being rendered in any case.

Though, some of us are not lawyers, but we recognize that it is truly within tenets of rights that Mr. Peters of the UDP's case is trashed out, for the simple fact that it is a constitutional right to be able to hold rallies. In this case, since the IGP denied the UDP permits, it is now for IGP Badjie to stand in a court box for his part in violation.
