Hello, Haruna, perhaps that is the problem with referring to offline conversations, or at least to conversations that you can't readily pull up from an archive and requote. And though I can't quote you exactly word for word, I seem to recall that we were discussing what it was about what I'd been saying, that was causing some people to react negatively to what I was saying, and the deduction made by you, again if I remember correctly, was that part of it could be due to the fact that I was perceived as an outsider, just another colonizer, trying to tell "the locals" what to do, and that my race played a part in it, as well as my gender, though to a lesser extent. And you also mentioned something about the fact that I could be saying things that were uncomfortable to many. I'm not just referring to this particular discussion, or any particular discussion, for that matter, just referring to any of my interactions where Gambian politics was discussed and I got a strong reaction from some.

Anyway, I'm in the middle of watching V The Final Battle on SciFi, so I'll go for now. But this is the last that I want to say on this.

Again, if I've misunderstood or misquoted you my apologies.

Now, I'm getting back to my show.

Ginny
