Although there are other considerations underlying Senator Dodd's decision, there is everything to say for the US political culture of voluntarily stepping aside.
If only for this, Kukoi deserves some sympathy for 1981. Tell your Kukeh to leave the man alone. He has an arguable claim to the title of 2nd President of The Gambia.
