Jarsarja Kujabi’s Family also in Dilemma

By Fabakary B. Ceesay

The family members of Jarsarja Kujabi, who went missing for fours years now, have told Foroyaa that they are really confused and frustrated by the long disappearance of their family head.

The distraught relatives of Jarsaja, a native of Dobong village in the Foni Kansala District of Western Region, are expressing concern regarding his whereabouts.
Speaking to Foroyaa at the family home in Dobong on Wednesday 10th February, they said since their family head was abducted at his farm in the summer of 2005 they have never heard or seen him or even know his whereabouts.

According to them, a numberless vehicle picked him up at his farm while he was there working. The family explained that Jarsarja was escorted from the farm to his home to change his farming clothes and after that he was immediately whisked away without any explanation to his family. They said since then they have not heard any news about him, even though they made all efforts to locate him. They lamented the numerous searches they have been making around the country but to no avail.

According to the family members, Jarsarja was a strong APRC militant, but did not hold any official position in the party. They said that he was engaged in full time farming on which he depended on to feed his large and extended family.

They said they could not tell what problem may have led to his abduction and long disappearance. They therefore appeal to the people concerned and the authorities to help locate their family head.
