The snowflakes fall too gently
the naked trees dressed in white splendor
and the beautous bloom of white on every tree is seen
the ground is thick with a deep layer of snow.

The snowflakes fall too gently
all the traffic comes to a crawl
headlights in the snowstorm
beam into the shrouded darkness
the wind becomes eractic
the trees sway frantically
they bow majestically
and scatter their burden
into the emptiness
of the cold deserted streets.
