Chris, don't make me have to come out there and file for divorce. I can have Demba do it for me also you know.

You did address some good points and perhaps I'm in error. For the benefit of our other equally generous coleagues, let me attempt to soothe anxieties:

Hi Haruna, All I need right about now is an American football and you running full speed Darbo to kick it cuz I am going to yank it back at the perfect moment and just watch your feet go skyward.] Chris.

Why would you do that to your older brother??? Mams advises us to love unconditionally. What is wrong with yew??? The Afrikanski!!!

[You definitely could have contacted me to see how I wanted to handle this] Chris.

There was only one way to handle it Chris. Sending it back to you so you can complete your generous gifting. Our accountant even suggested that. The GDP relies on the generousity of folks all over the world and we must be and be seen to maintain a certain level of professionalism and integrity. Think about it this way: If these funds were for another of The GDP's many projects, but you sent it to another organisation, we would expect them to do exactly what we did. If we attempt to forward it for you, we have all of a sudden taken responsibility for it reaching its intended party and we would have re-adressed it. We are not agents for Chris or the GPU-USA. I hope you will understand.

[since in your statement below it does say, "All proceeds from this fundraiser will be forwarded to the GPU-USA as Ellen and Echo's contribution to the larger effort in the Chief Manneh Family name."] Chris.

Proceeds - Receipts of the Ellenecho fundraiser.
Ellenecho Fundraiser is aimed at harnessing the value of niche communities in fundraising.

And you marked the envelope Demba-Free.
Demba is boxed by Ellenecho in Ellenecho bay. The GPU-USA has not boxed Demba.
The spirit is the boxing and to yield Demba freedom by his friends and coleagues. Sort of mimicking the desire of Chief Manneh and his family.

[Furthermore it does not specifically say who to write the check out to, only where to send it to so] Chris.

I agree it did not specifically say make your checks and instruments out to: The Global Democracy Project. That was my shortcoming. I will add that to the fundraising notes right away. Please forgive me. I will however share here that you were aware that the GPU-USA fundraising had not begun yet and you also are aware of the GPU-USA mailing address. When you raise funds for the cause that was on the card you so thoughtfully picked out for me, even though it doesn't say to make our checks out to the cause's name, you wouldn't think I should make it out to The GDP and suggest it was intended for the cause do you???? You are just giving me a hard time again and you know it. However, I will correct my oversight.

[since I am a fan of the GPU-USA] Chris.

That is why you have the unique privilege of donating twice. I am also a fan of GPU-USA. That is why I wished to assist in her prospectives fundraising programmes. Chris, our association here requires us to be upright citizens and encourage due-diligence both in the GPU-USA and among our coleagues and friends at Ellen and the Gambiaecho. We also have young impressionable minds who look up to us for some measure of guidance in this tumultuous world. There is the matter of donor fatigue and disenchantment. One of the reasons is the severe economic climate. Another reason is unprofessionalism and dishonesties passed as laziness. Please understand my position.

[and because you were extremely cruel to personally contribute towards Demba's lock up not once, but, twice,] Chris.

I am guilty as charged Chris. Demba may choose to box yours truly once he is freed and his case prosecuted. If I hadn't boxed him, who will?? Certainly not you. And this cat runs around aversing everybody including our Lady-in-waiting and Suntou. Whaddoyou want me to do???

[it only made sense to make out the check to where you would be forwarding it to anyway and to the organization that had previously and generously started the ball rolling.] Chris.

Who told you that made sense Chris????? Why would you pledge the money to Ellenecho's fundraising project and turn around and make it out to the GPU-USA who had no hand in Demba's friggin boxing or eventual freedom??? This is what I say about you Afrikans. Why didn't you save us all the chagrin and send it to the GPU-USA. I know you're trying to get out of donating twice as you should. But I got my eyes on yew.

[This one is not my error actually] Chris.

I agree. The error was mine and I tried to correct it. Please forgive me.

[so, I want a french silk pie sent to the the Demba Baldeh family from you as an apology to me.] Chris.

No. I'm gonna keep Demba boxed for as long as I can. I thought for a moment you were gonna ask for a French kiss. That I may friggin consider. What is a French Silk pie anyway? Whaddoyou people do in Wisconsin??? Bake succulent pies all day? The only way I'm gonna apologise to you is say I'm sorry and if you want me to complete your second gifting for you on account of the anxieties I caused you, my son says he will forgive his next week's allowance just to make you happy. He says he will do it for your kids. He can't stand grown folk fussin at each other when they should be gammying each other.

[Older brothers...UGH!] Chris.

Well so much for younger sisters!!!!!! Muhammad friggin Abdallah
Haruna.

Chris, my pal,

Our able mail sorter has advised me your check is already in the box to be returned to sender. I wish I could retrieve it from the box. Maybe another time. FYI, and being part of both Ellen and GPU-USA, you have the unique privilege of donating twice. You may challenge another coleague of ours here to complete your gifting here. I am so terribly sorry I could not forward the check to GPU-USA on your behalf.

What will end up at the GPU-USA is a good total of the funds we raise at Ellenecho with a list of the donors and the respective amounts donated to the CHief Manneh Family Fund. Not the individual instruments. This will streamline recordkeeping and accounting and will acknowledge the amount coleagues and friends of Ellen and thegambiaecho were able to raise. It is a pilot of future customized fundraising in niche communities.

Thank you for your gifting is half-way complete. We look forward to extorting another donation from you. This time do it right doggone it.

Haruna. You know I'm always your Pal, my erstwhile eccentricities aside.

Hi Haruna,

No.

Do not return my check, just kindly forward it to Lamin's address. It's a stamp and an envelope away from getting it to the right place. I am not going to make out a second check because the funds will ultimately get to where they need to go because you are going to be a pal and just merely forward it for me. I will pay you back in some way for your time and cost-give me time.

Thank you Haruna,

Chris

Sister Chris,

This is to acknowledge we are in receipt of a check made out to GPU-USA and marked Free Demba Baldeh. We have also received your wonderful card made out to Haruna.

We will return the check to you for onward transmission to the GPU-USA or you may replace it with one made out to the Global Democracy Project. We were not able to deposit it in our Chief Manneh Family Fund because our bank cannot process it for that account and the Ellenecho fundraising for the Chief Manneh Family remains as is. All the same we appreciate your generousity and spirit and we look forward your pledge of $25.00 for Demba's release from Ellenecho Bay when possible.

Haruna Darbo - $20.00 - Demba Jail - Received
Suntou Touray - $20.00 - Demba Free - Pledged

Yankuba Darboe - £30.00 - undecided - Pledged
Hon. Lamin Darbo - $50.00 - Demba Free - Pledged

I think the card is lovely and the best way for me to honour the cause would be to go to their website and assist in one of the areas where such assistance is needed and valuable. I thank you for introducing me to the project for I was not aware of it prior and I think it is a wonderful cause. I will leave advertising for the cause for now, until I am able to discern value and process.

Thank you again.

I wonder what my Ndokeh Nderry has decided. Thank you JDAM for your generous pledge. I am proud of your regard for other when our community has sought your assistance before. We understand you have enormous obligations and a large family to care for but like Modou, Yero, Galleh, Chris, Coach, Suntou, Demba himself, Karim, Owens, Buharry, Giusseppe, Saiks, Olfactor, Evian, Bilal, and Saiks, you are always there to lend a hand when called upon. Even if this effort does not yield millions, the spirit and comraderie exhibited by you generous souls is inspiring enough for the rest of us. If at this time some of our friends and coleagues are not in a position to lend a hand financially, I am confident with this contagion of gracious spirits, they will be in the proper stead when we arraign Suntou.

Demba remains locked up until pledges are received and net shows his freedom.

We, at the community of Ellen and Gambiaecho have arraigned and placed our coleague and friend Demba Baldeh in our custody - The Ellenecho Bay. This was as a result of Demba's admission that he can be both biased and neutral at the same time while being an editor of the indomitable Gainako and Secretary General of the GPU-USA. Demba announces this disposition without due regard to the anxieties he caused our other coleague and friend Suntou. After numerous exchanges as to the merit of this disposition, we the Ellen and Echo communities are not able to yield closure on the seminal quandry. Indeed the tonguicoff offered no secours for the rest of us who may be afflicted with the same conflict.

Being the good sport that he is, Demba has ascended to his own arraignment here in order that we may yield arithemetic discernment of his value as biased and neutral simultaneously as Secretary General of the GPU-USA. Therefore, $20.00 placed him in confinement not to speak at the Ellen or Echo community until such time as another of our coleagues and friends determines it is valuable to have the simultaneously conflicted Demba released.

To secure Demba's continued incarceration or Freedom, que sa soit, you are encouraged to send your donation to:

The Global Democracy Project
Chief Manneh Family Fund
P.O. Box 775
Lithia Springs, GA 30122

Please mark: Demba Jail or Demba Free as you desire.

For those of our coleagues who reside outside the US and wish to participate here, please send your gifts in the form of international money orders and or bank check. We encourage you to plead with your friends and family in the US to complete your gifting for you where that is possible.

We will share a running tally with the communities from time to time or as appropriate when Demba's release becomes imminent. Until net receipts suggest Demba's release, Demba remains in our custody.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will be forwarded to the GPU-USA as Ellen and Echo's contribution to the larger effort in the Chief Manneh Family name.

Our coleagues Mr. Baba Galleh Jallow and Mr. Lamin J. Darbo may issue a moratorium at any time during the fundraiser to grant any detainee reprieve. In the event the two gentlemen are deadlocked, our coleague Mr. Yero Jallow will break the deadlock and his determination will be incontestable.

For those of our coleagues who wish to bypass this scheme and gift directly to the Chief Manneh Family Fund, we encourage you to send your donations to:

The GPU-USA
C/O Lamin Jatta
1470 Jesup Avenue
Bronx, NY 10452

Please annotate your gifting: GPU-USA Chief Manneh Family Fund

Thank you one and all and I encourage you to participate in yielding understanding on the seminal question of whether we can be both biased and neutral at the same time while we head a professional association without undue affect on our fellow citizens.

Haruna.
