This may sound very odd, but when I was a teenager in upstate New York, a student came and stayed with neighbors for the summer before
attending college. He was from The Gambia and his name was Kebba Foon. I believe his father was in a position of power in The Gambia and his mother was British. I do not wish to offend you in any way, and having looked up the name Kebba Foon on the internet, I see that it is quite possible that I might, but if you know of the Kebba Foon I am talking of, would you mind letting me know how to reach him, or letting him know how to reach me? My name is the same as it was in 1968 when he was in Vestal, New York, where he stayed with John and June. The Kebba I knew was a very kind young man to a young teenager girl, and I have wonderful memories of the time we spent together - his favorite song was "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding...
I will be traveling to Africa this summer on a mission trip - I guess that is what has put him on my mind.
I thank you very
much for anything you can do to help me contact my old friend.
Sincerely,
Terry Canfield
