Thanks again, I went again last night and found nothing. I saw this rock-rapper called Soundilou. Maybe grandson, maybe.
Because Buli son of Soundiolou was married to Sara a french lady in Dakar. But anyeway, this is it.
Momodou Camara, thank you for your solid data base. Your are great and thanks njuks.
This is a great Kora legend whom I had the chance of knowing and got closed to for years.. He loved Ifangbondi and visited the band when ever we go to Dakar.
He lived in Zigunchur but worked mostly in Dakar.I also knew his two wives Maimuna and Mahawa (mom of Buli) only by name.

She is a story because she died much earlier and caused epic drama in Dakar. Working with Ifangbondi changed my life I came to know all these people and took their woork holy.
Soundiolou gave Pap Touray his blue Waramba which I still keep. He always wore colored socks and look high up dragging his feet with he walk down the street.
We were so closed ( as Ifangbondi) that I invited Buli his son to Bakau (kelebess kunda) to live with me for a few months.
All of them visited including Veux, Solo and Prince.

Pap Touray cloned Soundoulou, especially in especially singing the Lalo Kebba's Mariama in a Soundiolou style. Big time!
Although it was a Lalo Kebba Song "Djembeseng", Soundiolou complemented the song wiith a supereb baritone version.
All this I only remembered. Where is the written history. This is all remrembered history.

I am glad that there are leads to the spirit, the thing.
Bravo guys
Drammeh

P/S; A huge story to be reaveled is the essence of Joberteh Griot family of Brikama, the grand sons of Jali Wandifeng Joberteh of 1800s, the composer of Alalake.

Fortunately, Momodou Camara and Njucks were able to find interesting links to Soundiolu's kora:

Karim, unfortunately there is no sample of the kora. And it also seems that, there are two soundioulu, another a Senegalese great. The Gambia Sunjulu has no music neither much written on his musical career. I know Radio Gambia has a lot of him in there achieves.
