Former Army Chief Lang Tombong Tamba, stands accused of attempting to overthrow the government of The Gambia. He and six others are charged with 3 counts of treason.

Did he play a part in the execution of Daba Marenah and 5 others, and the shooting to death of Corporal Dumbuya?
General Tamba’s conspiracy theory did work well, and it has hazardous effect on innocent lives. Mr. Ousman Sonko, who is the present interior minister and Pa Njaga Mendy, former NIA operative, were assigned to monitor Landing and Alimamo manneh. I will not go too deep into that because the main focus here is General Tamba. However, I cannot give the true description of him without touching some basic information that have cost loss of lives and property. Sonko's gullibility landed the trio into a hot soup by acting as someone who opposed the allowances given to those who always travelled with president Jammeh on his overseas trips. He always visited these people in their homes and initiated conversations that concerned president Jammeh while secretly recording them. The tape recordings were submitted to president Jammeh and this was how they got Sanneh and Manneh on January 14 and 15, 2000. The python, Sonko, was thereafter promoted as State Guard Commander and Njaga was later sent to the U S as an attaché to the Gambian embassy.
The Killing of Corporal Dumbuya
The most pathetic and dramatic event of all was the gruesome assassination of corporal Momodou Dumbya. He was an errand boy to Alimamo Manneh. I must expose the real killer of Corporal Dumbya this time because people accused Kawsu Camara, alias Bombarde, when it was not him who pulled the trigger to fire the bullet that eventually killed Dumbya, although he led the gang of thugs in pursuit of Dumbuya on that fateful day. On a far fetch note, he cannot be dissociated from it because he was part of the group........ www.senegambianews.com
