This is indeed a sad situation and instead of putting our brains together we
will resort to pointing fingers and condemning each other. Instead of coming
up with the resources to pay for Femi's bail, we will be ranting again as if
it never happened.

It is no surprise that Femi would be jailed. Everyone knew what the ultimate
outcome would be on this case. So the real question is why do we continue to
legitimize the courts system in the Gambia when we infact know the outcome?
Why go to court and defend what is openly clear to all? Did this case teach
us anything that we did not know about our justice system?

The regime has become a master in handling Gambians and putting everyone on
check. Now that Femi is going to jail and nothing will come out of it
unfortunately, Gambians again will ask the question... why bother if no one
can do anything about it?

Apealing against the case is a waste of time and resources. We might as well
move on because we know the outcome.

I pray for Uncle Femi's safety and protection in custody. May Allah give him
the strength and free him sooner rather than later... am ashame of our
system..
