Very sad Demba. There are some people who cannot be taught the right path.
Only their God/Allah/DaarManso can help them. However, I don't think Mr.
Jallow did anything wrong because he was sharing his personal gratitude for
Yahya's help to him and his family. He just did not know Yahya was not
aiming to help him and his family when he gave him the job. He still doesn't
understand that yet. It will be by his expiration I declare. That should not
make you abandon your friend. Just don't let him come near you again. I
would terminate the friendship if I were you until he is fully rehabilitated.
You cannot rehabilitate him. Only his God/Allah/DaarManso can do that.

I have friends who don't listen to my advice also. I just terminate
friendship that will be malignant to me, my family, and my fellow citizens. The
forsaken friends seem to come back to plead for renewal. I reconsider them.
In the name of my DaarManso.

Haruna.

Yep, Mr. Jallow who is a close family friend never listened to any advice
on this. He did exactly what Jammeh hates the most --- kissing off....

Remain a loyal citizen whether you have a job with the government or
not.... kissing off only leads to low morality and ultimate disrespect from the
president. Ask FJC, Yankuba, Capt. Fye, Saja Taal, didae Halake and
countless others. How long will it take for these smart folks to learn and be ware
of their environment? Jammeh knows his customers well....

So now what for Famara? Did he or did he not have faith in God? More
lessons to learn folks...

DIG Jallow grateful to President Jammeh
Thursday, March 18, 2010
Famara Jallow, the new deputy Inspector General of Police has sent a
letter of gratitude to the Gambian leader His Ecellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji
Dr Yahya Jammeh for reinstating him into the ranks of The Gambia Police
Force and promoting him to the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police.
The letter reads:
I have the greatest honour to write to express how deeply I appreciated
Your Excellency's gesture of taking me again into the ranks of the Gambia
Police Force and promoting me to the prestigious position of deputy Inspector
General of police.

Your Excellency, I don't think I can find words that can really convey my
feeling at thus moment. However God the Almighty knows that I am sincerely
indebted to you for this great honour. You cannot imagine, Your Excellency,
what you have for me without looking at it from the angle of empowering me
economically to facilitate my ability in enhancing the general welfare of
my family independently; raising my social image as an employee of your
government, how dignifying; boosting of my morale and laundering off the shame
I felt being removed for, ostensibly not having lived up to your
expectation; most importantly the new challenges of being brought back into the
flock I belong to and giving me the opportunity to work in the occupation I am
fully trained to perform comfortably and my elevation to the position of
deputy Inspector General of police thus requiring me to satisfy the great
confidence bestowed in me.

Your Excellency, thank you very much for this great privilege. At this
juncture I wish to reassure you of my maximum loyalty and support.
Furthermore, I wish to assure you that I will serve you, your government and the
people of The Gambia to the best of my ability and indeed with all my energy,
mind and whole-heartedly.

Your Excellency, my family and friends join me in thanking you and wishing
you God’s continued guidance, your family’s long life, good health and
God’s protection forever. May God the Almighty enable you to drive The
Gambia to the level of development and prosperity you envisaged. Most sincerely
and obediently, I remain your servant.

Famara Jallow
Deputy Inspector General of Police
