Wait a minute. Did I hear from the GRTS broadcast that Kairaba is D1,000.00 per copy??? I think Yahya should purchase 1 million copies and distribute them to all the schools in Gambia. Who better to read this book than Gambia's young??? The embassies and intl orgs can afford D1,000 but what about the lowly Gambian? If Yahya really wanted to support the good launching of the book he'd buy them for the less well off. And he should place a copy at all Gambia embassies abroad. Then I'll know Yahya is a serious President. Not only that, if Yahya buys 1 million copies to be distributed to the students, I'll buy copies for all his minsters and national libraries in Gambia. Somebody inform Yahya of this challenge. Please. Buharry! Ace!

Haruna. I don't put my pants on both legs at a time. I'm a big black Sarahule. Let's see who belongs to the lazy tribe. Me or Yahya.

Now that I was able to review the broadcast, I can submit my comments. BTW Buharry Thanx. I don't know if I thanked you before. I don't want you to accuse me of being PDOIS or UDP or APRC for that matter.

1. I loved the book launching ceremony. I admire Yahya for his magnanimity toward Sir Dawda even though his actions against his fellow citizens does not support that his actions toward Sir Dawda are genuine. All the same, for Sir Dawda's sakes, I applaud Yahya for this moment.

2. I think the national assembly badly needs a friggin makeover. What are those idiotic and filthy curtains hanging on the windows? The colour scheme makes the hall look like a friggin morgue.

3. What interest do we have in a Fuc...I mean friggin Gamtel/Gamcel canteen????? And why don't they have real plates???????????? These idiots.

4. Minute-Maid is advertising in Gambia?????????? Men this is funny. I better not say anything about this because I happen to own MM stock. They never told me we were selling in Gambia. Allahu Akbar. Well this is my opportunity to tap Allah's bank I suppose. I think its dangerous though. Putting a cutlass in an amateur hunter's hands. These idiots now think minute maid makes them beautiful.

5. Is it just me or was the announcer Fatou extremely aware of herself. More than the news she was reading? That cat only needs a catwalk to hightail it outta that newsroom. Reminds me of the faces those I forget what Galleh calls them.. oh wodabes were making in that Jola porno-producer's flic.

Ok. That's as far as I wanted to watch. I was under severe mental torture. Latjorr managed to slip his picture in.

Haruna. I said Thank you Buharry. Whaddoyou want from me? No can do. I can't become BuDOIS Sek. A'Angh!

ubj: I bring you Ndokeh's editorial on former President Sir Dawda
awara.

n the occasion of Kairaba's launching.
Just to add that Ndokeh's editorial deals with Hon. Jawara the citizen.
fter the coup relieved him of duties as President of Gambia. Sir Dawda
ecame our fellow citizen after Yahya became President. Therefore what
ir Dawda did after the coup d'etat is Sir Dawda's purview. We may hope
or sobriety in his decisions then but he is not accountable to Gambian
itizens for what he does in his private life. It is unconscionable to
ind Sir Dawda guilty for aversion against Gambia and Gambians in his
rivate demarche.
Otherwise, I acknowledge Ndokeh's anxieties and chagrins variously.
I will purchase 5 copies of the book Kairaba. As is traditional with
e, I will gift 4 of them and keep one for myself.
Allez people. Haruna.

Editorial: Kairaba Jawara Is On The Wrong Side Of History
Saturday April 10th would witnessed the launching of a book authored by
eposed President Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara?a former statesman who is on
he wrong side of history. Kairaba Jawara departed from the much
alked about ?strong democratic ideals, tenets, and values? he
urtured in The Gambia, and across the region, following his move to
bandon his colleagues in the struggle for the restoration of democracy
n that impoverished West African country for his own selfish
nterest. He returns home under the disguised of so called amnesty?
nly to compromise all the principles he stood for over the years.
awara the ?born again? is trying to rewrite history.
hen President Jammeh initiated the idea of extending an amnesty to
ormer President Jawara, the average Gambia thought that this was going
o be an opportune moment for Jawara to prevail on Mr. Jammeh to
onsider including his former colleagues such as Bakary Bunja Darboe,
aikou Sabally, Sara Jangha, Alkali James Gaye, Kebba Jallow, and
ther PPP exiles overseas on the list of those to be pardoned, but that
as too much for Jawara. Mr. Jawara was only concerned about his
ersonal interest, and that of his immediate family. He accepted Jammeh?
invitation to return home without bothering to consult his former
olleagues.
aving faced possible foreclosure in the UK, amidst financial
ncertainty, Jawara was nearly evicted from his London Home. He could
ot pay for his mortgage. Jawara?s house was later seized, and sold to
rospective buyers.
r. Jammeh was privy to the old man?s plight in the UK, and decided to
ntervene to save Jawara from being thrown out from his repossessed
ondon Home. This was a commendable move on the side of Jammeh to
xtend a helping hand to a suffering former head of state.
espite all the atrocities associated with Jammeh, we believe that he
layed a pivotal role in ensuring that Jawara was not placed on welfare
ousing program in a former colony.
awara has launched all kinds of campaign in the past to disrupt the
ctivities of the former junta headed by Jammeh. He even asked for
estern intervention, but his repeated appeals were ignored. The West
elieved that he Jawara overstayed, and was partly responsible for
ambia?s political dilemma.
t is only in The Gambia that a former exiled head of state would be
llowed to return home without being jailed. There was probable, or
easonable cause to prosecute Jawara for corruption, and abuse of
ffice, because he was found liable by the Algali Commission. But
espite all these, Jammeh decided to allocate him a monthly salary,
ersonal guards, and a well furnished private residence in Fajara.
e have high regards for Jawara, but it is our ardent belief that he is
n the wrong side of history. Mr. Jawara?s, attempts to rewrite history
ill not save him from his betrayal schemes against his former
olleagues, peers, and admirers. You can?t have it on both ways.
awara has betrayed all what he stood for over the years. His previous
laims that he would not dine with army mutineers is a fat lie. Jawara
s today serving as an adviser to President Jammeh. He is part, and
arcel of the Jammeh administration. Don?t tell us about that so called
olitical retirement.
r. Jawara?s book mainly focuses on his past speeches as a First
epublican President, and his political truce with the Jammeh
dministration. He owes special gratitude to Amadou Samba, Abdoulie
ujabi, and President Jammeh for facilitating his safe return home.
r. Jawara?s book is being advertised on Amazon. We call on Gambians
o purchase the book for the sake of posterity. Our kids need to read
bout this old man. African Heads of State need to read about this
haracter called Kairaba Jawara. Happy book launching to former
resident Jawara. History will judge you harshly Sir. We rest our
ase!
