Copernica Adventures is a competing team in the 2010 Budapest-Bamako trans-Sahara charity race. The team consists of Sebastian Orskaug and Johan Hjort. A 1990 Mitsubishi Pajero 2,5 TDI has been prepared for the 9000 km journey from Budapest, Hungary to Bamako, Mali. Our friends and fans have donated 2000 Euros which we have spent on medical equipment and medications we are bringing with us and will give to our partners in the Mali Health Organizing Project when arriving in Bamako. Copernica is the student organization for the international medical students of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, Poland. The Adventures division of Copernica is headed by Sebastian Orskaug and Johan Hjort, and their participation in the Budapest Bamako is by far the craziest idea they have come up with.
