I understand. It is the normal human reaction or psycho-somatic reaction to begrudge fighting fire with fire. But bear with me for a moment. Sometimes when we have wild fires that threaten to consume whole communities, we set a cordon on fire to retard or stop the onward advance of the greater fire. This cordon fire is closely monitored and set by adults with adult supervision. The other fire you're trying to head-off is either set by criminal arsonists or by nature in her pursuit of re-equilibrium. Nature and or the criminal does not consider other life or property that may be lost along the way. Because all things happening to stand in the way of regaining equilibrium or for the criminal covering his/her crimes. Nature gave humans the wherewithal to conjure solutions to wayward fires and that is what the democrats and other sober republicans are. Nature's cordon soldiers. This fire happens to be set by the criminals of wall street. So we need a fire cordon to stave off further damage to life and property. Therefore, we seek your partnership in either setting the cordon fire or standing watch to monitor the good fire so it doesn't get outta hand.

Republicans oppose everything we do.  If we don't maintain a strong Democratic majority, they could erase every single Democratic accomplishment.

On Thursday, the Senate passed new legislation to bring new accountability to Wall Street and to protect the American people from the risky bets that nearly doomed our economy two years ago.  This bill will end taxpayer bailouts once and for all, prevents the big banks from becoming "too big to fail," and puts new watchdogs in charge to protect consumers.

Despite all that, Republicans decided to put Wall Street profits ahead of Main Street protection.  That's the latest example of how disastrous it would be to put them back in charge.
