THE DAILY LESSON – June 15, 2010
From the 1959 San Diego Special Closed Class - "The Nature of God" by Joel S. Goldsmith:

"In other words, there are people in this world using their mind for evil purposes, for selfish purposes. Sometimes you may not be willing to describe it all as evil but people who manipulate the mind to sell a product are using that power selfishly evenly if the product is a good one. And there is always the potentiality of the use of the mind for personal or evil purposes. That has all been witnessed so often in
the metaphysical world that it requires no enlargement upon at this moment. So that I say this to you, The Infinite Way does not deny those mental teachings in any claim that you cannot mentally produce healings or good. I have witnessed too much of that so I know that it can be done. I know it also, the mind and its thoughts can be used for evil purposes, erroneous purposes, destructive purposes, and
therefore I say to you that our interest in The Infinite Way is not in using the power of mind even for good. Because our work takes us into a dimension where there is neither good nor evil, where there is only spiritual activity and being. That is the major
function of our work." ~Joel

 Let no man deceives himself. If any men among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.


All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
 And the light shine in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

And, also from "The Thunder of Silence" by Joel:

"As we come to this place in consciousness where we are able to relinquish human might and power, human opinion and judgment, a divine Grace, invisible, yet perfectly tangible to the person experiencing it, takes over. We cannot see this transcendental Spirit, hear It, taste It, touch It, or smell It, yet It is here and It is now—we feel It, and we know It. When we let go of our human rights or human will or desires—even the good desires—and absolutely resign ourselves to God's will, It rushes in as if there were a vacuum, and when It takes over, we can feel Its every move ment coursing throughout our body, right through the muscles and veins down to the nails. We are one with the rhythm of the universe, and all is well. All that the Father has is now flowing through us out into this world as a divine Grace, bringing to us all that is ours and bringing us to all those to whom we belong.

So we learn that we need take no thought for the things of this world; we need not fight either aggressively or protectively. We can stand still and think no thoughts—just be receptive and let God's thoughts flow to us and perme ate our being. And then our work will be accomplished. But I must remind you that Spirit is never working for us. It is working in and through us as we yield and surrender our selves—even our thoughts—so that God can take over."
