We are sad here at the minute. England lost heavily to their nemesis, the Germans. It is quiet all around my street now. Hence, I will happily appreciate Bambino in my house venture out. My son just switch his alliance to Brazil after England lost, funny kids now a days.
Go Ghana, although the football god seems to favour the Brazilians and Germans funnily.
i wish the Guinea elections go well, hopefully we will visit their after it is all over. Kankan is a destination I like.

Thanx Suntou for sharing. My heart is heavy right now on account of our loss to Ghana. However, on the far side of things, I am joyful that the only hope of Africa advances to the round of 16. It will be appropriate for me to adjust my final 4 prediction now to replace Ivory Coast. Here they are, again in alphabetical order.

Argentina
Braseeeeel
Germany
Ghana

I'm not doing too badly thus far. Ivory Coast dropping off was a fluke and the other game they relied on was fixed for Portugal.

Anyhow Sekouba Bambino is one of my favourite musicians. Wait a minute what about the Mali referee Coulibaly????????????? I think because our loss is Ghana's gain, we will not recall our Ambassador from Bamako. However we will issue a strongly worded complaint to ATT and encourage him to tie this Coulibaly up under a baobab tree in the hot sun for two hours. No 3 hours.

This piece from Bambino Suntou ought to be appreciated by every UN conflict resolution expert. It has another meaning for La-Guinea presidential candidates as they consider the eventual government that arises from the elections. If any one of the parties singlehandedly wins, they must be extraordinarily magnanimous in choosing their government. It will not be wise to only consider their party members. In fact what I recommend is that if a single party should win outright, they ought to form an alliance with 2 or 3 other parties to include the Conde'-Barry alliance. If the Conde'-Barry alliance should win as I hope, it should consider immediately forming an alliance with one or 2 of the other parties for governance. It would have been easier should they have formed these alliances prior to the election but as it is, the alliance formation will have to take place after the election. Should the election go on to a second round of voting, alliances will be inevitable.

The reason I give this advice is that this election in La-Guinea is not just any ordinary election. It is existential. Not only will it determine the peoples' choice of President, it will demonstrate that an alliance government assisting the chosen President will be far superior and more sustainable than a single party government. It is coming on the heels of a dastardly massacre which has yet to be prosecuted. Add onto that the malaise and chronic ineptitude of the Conte' years and unsolved massacres during and before that. This is why I call the La-Guinea elections seminal. I understand everyone is focused on which party will win or lose, but I tend to view it as which party will bring sustenance and hope to the people of the Highlands.

I'm off to transummarize Thiam's piece and you will get a clue what I'm talking about.

Thanx for sharing Sekouba Bambino. I hope he becomes an instrument for genuine change of La-Guinea attitudes like I know he is capable of.

Haruna.
