"Its like one of my uncles. You make the mistake and sit near him at wrestling matches. Just hope no one throws the other on the ground. Cravate and all."Haruna.

Now that is funny. I do have an uncle who wrestles you to the ground if you are seated next to him once the "nyoborinyo" is great, especially if his support is falling the opponent to the ground.

Yes, Brazilian soccer turns me on. Even though history teaches that the English invented soccer, but it is jokingly said further that Brazil christens it. I believe that Brazil advanced in soccer to a level that is very admirable, dating back to 1930. The way that Brazil plays a ball is different from the way I see others do it. Interesting history I just glanced about them. Matter of fact, they won the cup five times. That truly wasn't by accident. It is talents combined with great professionalism.

FYI: One of Pele's former coaches is my neighbor here. He is an elderly man, with a lot of businesses around. I think among the greatest soccer heroes of times was Pele of Brazil. He gave flavor to soccer.

I thought I could give you a hint that if Ghana tumbles at the quarter finals, be alerted of my open support for Brazil. If we win the cup to Brazil, then I will follow it with a visit at some time to be decided. For the while, stay with Nkrumah and the black stars of Ghana.

thanks, & good night......

No Thank you. You did the wonderful work. After my son read the poem he told me I thought Yero was a journalist. I says to him what journalist do you know that's not a poet????? He goes that knucklehead Mathew. He got a point right there. Kids!!!!

[I think if the US invests in soccer like we do in basket ball and other game, there is no doubt in my mind that we will bring the Cup to the USA one day.] Yero.

Yero, did you know the US invests more per capita in soccer than any other nation? Even France. And look where that got them?

[While giving my total blessings to Ghana as the African team left, I am a fan of Brazil.] Yero.

I love you men. Braseeeeeeeel.

[Their soccer just turns me on.] Yero.

Ok settle down men. Ninko Maa Nmaafo Maabainahumaa. What???????? Sorry Chris. Your this man is confusing me again. Who'da thunk it? Braseeeeeel soccer turns Ma Yero on. Remind me not to go to any Braseeeel soccer match with you men. Its like one of my uncles. You make the mistake and sit near him at wrestling matches. Just hope no one throws the other on the ground. Cravate and all.

[I am glad you like the poem. I was greatly touched when I saw the USA team exiting the field and crying at the same time. In a game though, there have to be a winner and a looser.] Yero.

Tell me about it my friend. Especially a game officiated by FIFA idiots. They rob the loss in so hard you wanna knock 'em upside the head. Thank you Yero for this consolation.

Haruna.

Yero, you write us a beautiful poem and you had to go hide it at Gainako???????? What is wrong with you people? Well I had to go get it from there and bring it here. Where it belongs. Thank you all the same for a wonderful poem.

Haruna.
Back Home to the USA

By Yero JallowOn our flights, we heed home to the USA
Home to the land of freedom
Where Obama reigns with democracy
With strides of pride of our achievements
Basketball, soccer, democracy and the long list

We’ve come home to the USA
With our strides of achievements
Putting the USA soccer team on the global map
Down there in Johannesburg –Mandela’s home
Our soccer boots all filled with dust
Our body pores sweating heavily
Our muscles lengthen in all directions
Our eyes flashing lightening rays to dream skies
Our ears echoing defeat and loss
Our hearts in thunder moods but all lovely
Uproars of a defeat aloud like thunders
Moments of uncontrollable emotional feelings
Tears on cheeks, down memory lanes
As we exited the soccer field with pride
Our hearts whooped asunder
The thoughts of that glittering cup
Coming home to the USA
Was once again un-hatched another moment
As we live in our strides
We dream to bring the cup to the USA one day.
