The Gambian Diaspora remains a rich reservoir which the country can
access to accelerate economic growth. Already the Gambian Diaspora is a
major player in the country’s economic development through direct
contribution in the form of remittances.
Despite these significant accomplishments there is still room for greater
contribution. The Gambian Association and The Africa Center for
Information and Development (ACID) are challenging the Gambian Diaspora
to revisit the importance of collective organising. For this reason The
Gambian Association and ACID are opening up a dialogue and discussion in
the quest of finding strategies for Gambian Diaspora's collective
engagement in socio economic development in Gambia. It is against 'this
background that we are hereby inviting you all to this Seminar
