Now you get 1/2 the tea for the same friggin amount of money last year!!!!!!!! Dalasitang my foot. I vill be vaiting for Dalasi-Mwang!! You and Dramane must think we're idiots over here at Ellen? And which Karoh are you talking about? Ramadan or the month of August???? Ndokeh, I can't hear you!!! If you think I don't follow the Giuseppe Mercantile exchange, you got another thing coming.

You're right Ndokeh Thank you. This idiot Dramane made me call the man the wrong name. Indeed it is Pa Modou Bojang. I'll forward the fundraiser again. And that's another thing Ndokeh; I have never had you donate to any of our fundraising efforts here at Ellen, even the one we did in the honour of Freedomnewspaper. What is going on Ndokeh. Just $5.00. Please. Don't disappoint me. I understand you chew kolanuts. Well I want you to go for a week without Kolanuts and donate the monetary value of a weeek's worth of your kolanuts, or is it Bitakola?, to the Pa Modou Bojang Legal Relief Fund. I will never forget you if you do that. Thank you in advance Ndokeh, and thanx for the correction.

Haruna. Forget about Dramane. Watch Ndokeh go silent for a month people. Allahu Wakubaru!!!!

Hey Dramane. Keep this conversation at Posten. We will trust your opinions on the matter. Don't humbug us. I have an idea for you:

Go to www.whitehouse.gov and share the video where President Atlas Obama educated us on the matter of religious freedom. That's what you should share with us here. We don't wanna hear idiots argue over this. It is clear-cut. Keep your opinions to yourselves. And certainly keep them at Posten. Ellen has other work to do. Don't piss me off. And I want you specifically to donate to the Pa Ousman Bojang Legal Relief fund we have going on here at Ellen. And then go away.

Haruna. I don't wanna hear your mouth again. Just forward us Obama's video on the Manhattan Mosque affair and watch us appreciate you.

Yahya Jallow,

I disagree with some of your comments. It would have matter as to whether a synagogue or a church was build in ground zero. Those that carried out 11th September have their own reasons and that should not be a reason for Muslims to exercise their right of freedom to a religion of their choice.

I support President Obama for his support of the American Muslims to exercise their fundamental human right.

Hi Mawdo Demba,

I am the least versed but will attempt to answer in a normal life situation driven by common sense. The 9/11 must be condemned in no little terms. It was farce, deadly and an uncalled for aggression against innocent people all over, not only Americans, but all the victims and their families who happens to be from different Geographical backgrounds, including the one Gambian that died during the 9/11 blast.

Who is going to claim victory?

Accidentally those that masked in the uniform of Islam (Muhammad Atta, the mastermind and his associates) may, but true Muslims beg to differ.

The Unhealed Wound

The ground zero spot remains an unhealed wound for the American people, and it is a very sensitive spot. For Muslims to build a mosque there, it is like a provocation to the American people, at least the way that many will perceive it. I hope those trying to build a mosque there are not loaded with such motives of provocation. I have no reason to believe so either.

The holy ‘Kaaba’ in Mecca is situated at the former idol-worshipping place for the Meccans. Though, there is no relation to the Kaaba and the ground zero, it is just to say, there is no problem having a mosque at the former ground zero. It must not be sabotage from extremists who try to score points for the sake of more chaos for a decent world.

On the other hand, I can understand why America would say no. The spot remains an unhealed wound, though a mosque there sounds great for refreshment, a replacement of good over evil if the intentions are pure.

Baldeh & fasting….hmm, they sneak in the room to regurgitate bread or bone crumb on the table, or yet still a window curtain pulled down to darken the room for a meal at mid-day. I tell you the Baldehs are just that….ha ha ha…Happy fasting Mawdo Demba!

yj

There is no god but Allah (SWT) and Muhammad (SAW) is His messenger. Fear and Worship only Allah alone!

Hi all,

Recently we may all have heard about the proposal to build a Mosque near ground Zero - the old site of World Trade Buildings in New York. The debate has been very extensive and it has revealed some deep divisions on religious freedom that America has always championed. Both sides of the issue have advanced their case and it gets heated to an uncomfortable level.

So I was curious as to what the Majority of the list members think about the idea of building the most at this sensitive site? What do you think are the down sides of building the Mosque and would it backfire on Muslims and put more scrutiny on the owners and people who will worship there?

What historic parallels if any can we draw from this controversy? Do majority muslims on this list support building the mosque? Does it vindicate the alleged attackers of 911? Would the mosque be used as a slap in the face of American society which is seen to be far more tolerance?

Is there any reference to the Hadis, Quran or Bible predicting such controversy in our life time?

I would like to hear from other more experience or religiously educated on this...

Ramadan mubarak to all Muslim brothers and sisters and to our christian friends on the list.

Thanks

Demba
