In this edition,

1-ATT inaugurates the new Mali National Hospital at Yirimadio. The first hospital built in Mali since her independence 50 years ago is another value-gift of the People's Republic of China and President Hu Jintao. The 150-bed hospital cost of 9.5 billion Fcfa was funded by China, the government and peoples of Austria, and the government of Mali. It includes a thoracic surgery unit, an endocrinal unit, a neuro-surgical unit, a cryotherapy unit, a chemotherapy unit and attendant imagery units. Health minister Hon. Oumar  Ibrahima Toure, China minister of transport, and China Ambassador to Mali marvel at Maa Kouyate's solo in Chinese. Similar hospitals are anticipated in Sikasso and Mopti along with the Bamako-Segou highway, all thanks to China. Chinese doctors will assist in training Malian doctors in the various areas of surgery. I encourage all Malians to help China help Mali.

2-Civilian celebrations of Mali-50 concluded yesterday. All Mali came out in her splendour and diversity. Only Sory Ibrahima Keita can capture the ambiance so vividly. World cup 2010 eat your heart out. All Malians everywhere celebrate their sovereignties. Border towns like Kayes invite neighbouring nations' officials such as those of Senegal and Mauritania as guests of honour. Timboctou, Mopti Canoe Regatta, Gao, Kidal, Ansongo, Segou, Sikasso, Koulikoro, and Niorro du Sahel. If there's going to be a United States of Africa, it will begin in Mali.

3-ATT inaugurates Friendship Bridge, the third and newest Bamako bridge.

4-I invite you to the Mali Silver Jubilee Trade Fair to be held sept. 25th, 2010. Minister of Industry Jamille Bittar gives a preview.

5-A special session of the council of ministers promulgates significant laws.

6-ATT receives General Skouba Konate of La-Guinea and affords him his wise counsel.

7-Dr. Ousman Diouf shares perspectives as UN-AIDS representative in Mali. In Japan and Newyork later this year, The World Bank will be considering funding for the fight against HIV-AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.

And much more.
