Dear Gambians

Allow us to introduce the joining of the committee for the defence of peoples rights in the struggle against state terror in the Gambia.
 
Our committee`s  aim is to work towards the defence of our peoples rights in all areas of human activity:Peace,Security,Politics,Economic development,Culture,Social,Religion,Legal .
 
We have learnt with great grief and dismay the unwarranted and illegal detention of Dr Isatou Touray and colleague Amie Bojang Sisoho since sunday october 10-2010.The state  frivelous charges against these dynamic,progressive gender activists,social workers and human development experts are illegal  and without foundation.

The state  smear campaign and maltreatment of a reputable organisation like Gamcotrap and her leadership shall fail bismally.
Both Dr Isatou Touray and Amie Bojang Sissoho are selfless patriotic and resourceful citizens of our dear motherland and the Gambia.Their stern reputation constructive  engagement initiatives across the entire country speak of volumes and are decernable beyound our borders.

The arrogance and manners of maltreatment melted out to these wonderful and honourable women are unafrican,inhuman and abominable.We therefore  warn the state to desist from these acts of atrocities and human rights violations of innocent women and their reputable organisation.The catalogue of crimes against our people is long.The most brutal are the killings of our inocent sons,brothers fathers and mothers and the posoning of innocent citizens in claboration with non Gambians.


The power of our people lies in developing an organisation model that have as its foundamental task the uniting of all potential opposition to state terror.The process of developing such organisational power will  results in the simultanous dissaparance of all senses of vulnarability and fear.Much good work have so far concentrate on uniting the political opposition parties.We need to add the urgent program of  mobilising  the masses of our people whereever they are..We only need to intensify  the identification,consultations,dialog, coordinating, and mobilisation on a massline level.

History have proven that the only effective defence against state terror  is  the unity of the people under a democratic united front guided by a correct organisational principles and methods of struggle..Our peoples victory over state terror will only be guarantee when we unite our people as one in our hundreds of thousands ,encircle the agents of state terror, defeat them and restore the peoples peace,security,dignity and prosperity.We have all the human and material resourses present for victory ,the only missing link is a real democratic peoples united front
