CONAKRY Nov 15 (Reuters) - Veteran opposition leader Alpha Conde has been elected president of Guinea after winning 52.5 percent of the votes in a Nov. 7 run-off, according to provisional results issued by the electoral commission on Monday.
The election is meant to complete the return to civilian rule of the world's biggest bauxite exporter but Conde's rival, former Prime Minister Cellou Dalein Diallo, has alleged fraud and his supporters have clashed with police in the capital.
