Diaspora Results are announced.

- The 3rd Africa-Europe Summit commences in Tripoli Libya today. My favourite Sory Ibrahim Keita serenades you. Pay attention to the detail of his report particularly the investment disparity between Africa as a whole and other nations of Europe and Asia. ATT is present.
- USAID places $5million at the disposal of Mali's education department. The gift is in the form of re-imbursable expenditure in building and equipping some 231 classes in some 75 communes in Kayes, Koulikoro, Timboctou, Gao, Sikasso, Mopti, and Segou. This is America's contribution toward the consolidation of Mali's democracy by supporting larger access to basic education. Thank you America. Ambassador Milovanovich offers perspective.
- UNESCO assists in information technology in Mali schools. After a virtual university, Now computer labs. Thank you UNESCO.
- France finally sees the light. Francophone Multilateral Project considers assisting in the development of trans-national languages; Mandenkan (Nko), Swahili, Fulfulbe, Lingala, and Sychellian Creole. The countries concerned include Mali, La-Guinea, Senegal, Seychelles. The project has already produced some lexicons.
- Mauritania celebrated her 50th Independence anniversary yesterday. It was subdued, no parades, no fanfare, no military exhibitions. The President made a speech to the nation from State House to share the state of the nation. Mauritania has been through a lot. President Abdel Aziz must be commended for not wasting too much of the nation's resources to celebrate an evolving nation's search for the right balance. Mauritania must be supported and encouraged by all.
- Mali Association of Municipalities convenes a workshop on best practices to adapt to the ever-changing climate.
- URD holds Regional Conference in Koulikoro to take stock of its assets and toward  the 2012 elections. It is determined that URD by herself cannot win the presidency. Therefore, the prudent strategy is to form alliances with other parties. I commend the URD for this clairvoyance and to honestly review her value. URD works for Mali.
- Mayor of Bamako District reviews the city's budget. A deficit due to expenditure in the Cinquantenaire. Not bad. The deficit is value-added deficit.
- Diafarabe in Tenenkou county celebrates the return of their herds. For those who are not familiar with cattle herding, the herders generally leave their home in search of pasture. This feeding trek usually covers hundreds of miles with the herders sleeping with their herd along the way. Their food consists of milk and coos or bread and sometimes green tea and bread. Herders can be from 1-3 per herd depending on the size of the herd. When they return, the women of the villages and communes usually hold a song and dance celebration.
- Mali's Mother-Child Hospital embarks on a 1000 hearts campaign to operate on kids with heart problems. Critical patients are transferred to Ivory Coast for operation.
- Dogon Nation celebrates self-reliance for the development of their communities. They have some help from other local and international organizations. Go Dogon Nation!
- Marie Elizabeth Dembele is the new Miss ORTM Sikasso. She's knockout beautiful. Sarjo Dabo and Bintou Bouare' are 1st and 2nd runner-ups respectively. They're gorgeous themselves.
- Sports: Two brothers vie for Mali Tennis Champion.
- Mali has found a happy medium between cost and access in the area of Nephrologie and Haemodialysis at POINT G hospital. Some new kidney doctors minted in Egypt are already back to augment the hospital's professional capacity.
