Greetings!

We are an NGO with an Arts Village project in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. We have some funding from the Commonwealth source for two architects for two participants from Gambia (1) and India (1) to participate in our art + architecture residency project. The project is to design and build a unit of our Arts Village using local resources.

We ask that you please put us in contact with any a Gambian architect who would like to take up this challenge. The fund is a little over £1,000 (GBP) for one participant to cover airfare, and toward subsistence while in residency. So, the opportunity is for an architect or designer who knows about building with earth and other materials from the environment. We will provide accommodation for up to six months, and some local support.
