Botswana president calls for Ivory Coast's leader to accept defeat

The international reaction to the crisis in Ivory Coast has been growing.
The European Union says it is ready to consider sanctions against Ivory Coast if
the political crisis was not quickly resolved, and the French president, Nicolas
Sarkozy, has called on the president of Ivory Coast, Laurent Gbagbo to step
down.
On the continent, Botswana's President Khama Ian Khama has strongly condemned
the situation in Ivory coast saying that Laurent Gbagbo should be a "true
statesman and step aside".
President Khama spoke to Focus on Africa's
Veronique Edwards
 on the line from Gaborone.--
