Thank you Brother Oko for sharing.

I think the next natural step is that all foreign governments, the AU, and the UN must annul the accreditation of Ivory Coast Ambassadors who were appointed by Gbagbo. This will certify their oppositions variously to Gbagbo's usurious authority. I encourage La-Guinea, Mali, Burkina, Ghana, and Cameroon to lead this more peaceful demonstration of their rhetorical opposition to Gbagbo's proxy coup d'etat.

Once the accreditations are annuled, President Ouattara can then appoint the new Ivory Coast Ambassadors and perhaps retain some of Gbagbo-appointed Ambassadors who publicly resign from Gbagbo's appointment and pledge allegiance to the new Ivory Coast government and President Ouattara.

Everyone must now realize that the value of issuing condemnation of the illegal Gbagbo government has been pre-empted by Gbagbo himself when he inaugurated himself President even though the majority of Ivorians voted for Ouattara. I encourage the nations neighboring Ivory Coast to take the lead for the world community. Don't be afraid of Gbagbo closing your borders. The more honorable stance of rejecting the illegitimate government of Gbagbo is also more tenable than any short-term discomfort of a border closure. And your embassies in Ivory Coast are now serving the people of Ivory Coast under the auspices of President Ouattara. Therefore, Gbagbo cannot retaliate by closing your embassies in Ivory Coast. That cannot be done. It will be the quickening and unceremonious departure of Gbagbo from Ivory Coast itself.

If Gbagbo were smart, he would accept the generous offer from President Ouattara to ensure his safety and comfortable retirement in Ivory Coast that is proper for ex-heads of state. Should he miss that opportunity just to appear defiant to IC's colonial nation France, Gbagbo will have been equally guilty of colonizing Ivorians for his own selfish gains as those French slave merchants who colonized Ivory Coast. The devil is in the actions of a man.

Thank you for sharing Ace. Much obliged.

Haruna.

Botswana president calls for Ivory Coast's leader to accept defeat

The international reaction to the crisis in Ivory Coast has been growing.
The European Union says it is ready to consider sanctions against Ivory Coast if the political crisis was not quickly resolved, and the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, has called on the president of Ivory Coast, Laurent Gbagbo to step down.
On the continent, Botswana's President Khama Ian Khama has strongly condemned the situation in Ivory coast saying that Laurent Gbagbo should be a "true statesman and step aside".
President Khama spoke to Focus on Africa's
Veronique Edwards
 on the line from Gaborone.
