Alagi Yorro,

This is truly an interesting article. I found it very informative. Umar was
truly a great man.   Readers should look at the "Sayings of Umar"  below the
article. I think there are lessons there for everyone.

Amirul Mumininah –Khaliphah Omar (RA).

Here is a nice read about the life of one of the Caliphates, Omar (RA). I found
the article well argued and addressed some of the concerns at hand, especially
the "No compulsion in religion." It is overwhelming to see how the author of
"The 100" positioned both the Prophet (PBUH) and Omar (RA). I hope you find
value in this.

On a note, I understand about the current world confusion on certain things,
especially with the terror age we are currently in. As far as I can visualize,
terror is just in people who wants to do the act. It is found in all people of
different races, tribes, religions, nations, etc...Here and there, things
happen, and we are awakened from our slumbers.

I despise terror of any sort, ranging from Government terror, to fanatical and
individual terror. Terror is wrong and must be condemned in no small terms. At
the same time, generalization and provocation of singly Islam might not be the
solution. In fact it creates the tendency for reciprocity especially if you
don't belong to that sect, and your habitually hanging onto something, which
truly poke you inside, and you just have to let it out. No matter how much one
whines about it, the truth remains, you can never convince me (personally) that
Islam means terror. A critique on these criminals is necessary, just be careful
how you word it, so in your effort to enlighten and expose terror, you are not
creating an environment of finger pointing or accusation, especially on a
religion as magnificent as Islam is with its many followers.

There is an interesting part guys; that is the “hajj” (pilgrimage) that just got
done in Mecca. I think that represents truly what Islam is about.

Emphatically though the issue with the Somalis is not religion, it is their
family lineages –Rehwah kuhyi, reh kohfur, rehwah ghez, majer tate, harghesah,
etc…

On a last note, as we approach Christmas, I wish all our Christian brothers and
sisters a happy celebration. People all over must live in co-existence, simply
live and let live! If you don’t understand fully that of others, just save
yourself –let it be!

Merry X-mass and a happy new year.

Kind Regards,
Yero.
