The fact is that Somalian are no different to any other society. The Clan loyalty you alluded to came about as result of Saide Barri's communist rule which resulted in disenfranchise loyalty and mutual suspicions. Therefore, if a society lacks a central unified administrative power base, there is bound to be eneminity and division, we are seeing a taste of it ourselves.
Runing back to Clan means finding security and sometimes unconditional protection because the criminal eliment that dominate the public spheres of every day affairs don't have any remorse. Hence, Clan significant is akin to tribe significance. Somalia have only one Language, although the Bantu's who occupy the sea area have their own language, but that is a minor issue.

The rise of generalise attacks on Islam is an age old thing. And sadly, lazily and Europhonic pseudo Muslim who wish to live the good live in the west help maintain this tag. Although I believe if anybody have a reason to hate the West and engage in any form of antagonism with them, it should be Africans. The oppressions of blacks which was institutionalised, a legitimate government policy until the late 1960s in America, systematically use the Bible to oppress, hate and commit acts of slaughter against not only Africans but the red Indians. And the fact is, the policy of hating the others never stops, it only change direction.
How did Islam became the West druming instrument for war slogan? Over 600 years ago. The realisation that, Islam can never be changed to accommodate the 'neo-liberalist, accept everything the market throws at you' resulted in the now use of democratising and secularising Islam.
To achieve this goal, paraihs where created ie the Ben Ladin and countless others to be use as the canon folder against the 1.3Billion Muslims who don't have anytime for Ben Laden and his gang. But since they need them so that, even our own analyst will use the new words and slogans to generalise hate against us all. Words like 'Islamist' Fundamentalist, Jihadist, Terrorist, Extremist etc. This words can be applied to anybody or group. But they have attained sole use against Islam and Muslims. We all fear to question this terms and their motives, therefore it became easier for a Muslim living in America to apologise for a crime he didn't commit neither knows the person who commit it.
This is why, you see generalisation. If you read Anthony Giddens book: Runaway world, how globalisation is reshaping our lives
http://books.google.co.uk/books?hl=en&lr=&id=KPMtVIsNo-wC&oi=fnd&pg=PR11&dq=anthony+giddens+globalisation&ots=30s39dak25&sig=-DcVteRsu2SKkC4V7Py_c4935WM

. You will understand what I mean. Also the neo-conservative Huntington paper (Clash of Civilisation) which is full of racism and superiority complexes. Yet, those who give us Algeada, give us even Hamas, and countless obscure groups are the same people blaming us and Islam for a crime we don't approve or  sanctioned by our faith. Another informationative scholar is the Palestinian Christian writer (Edward Saed) check his book on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orientalism_(book) Orientalism. See how our folks use terms mechanically devise to demonise our humanity itself yet, the tools invented to earn collective punishment are expanded so that we can all bow down our heads. The criminal acts of Ben Laden and his bands have no place in Islam, it doesn't matter who invented him. I for one don'tcare about him and his ideas, he is just like the popet regimes (client states).

No Muslim have an individual right to kill anybody. You cannot collectively punish a group because your family was hurt. This is why, collective attacks by socall Islamicist groups have no place in Islam. They found this ideas in Maxism and other war strategies. In fact they were train by the intelligence agents of those countries who will later come to police them, thus curtailing our rights for their agendas.
Thanks Yero for sharing. The simple question is why should anyone wish to die for others? The youths dying in Palestine are not the poor kids, this are the middle class and wealthy. The poor kids can tolerate oppression, but the rich and middle class can't hence, they use whatever means is out there to end it all. The underlying reasons for the violence and constant state of war is never question. This is why, even Obama will continue this state. We Africans never came to fight or revenge at the West, we came to live and enjoy ourselves and in fact boost about our being here. After Cold war where hundreds of Africans, South Americans and eastern Europeans die for proxy war, Islam and Muslims is brought in to further the constant war that the large armies must fight.
Am afraid, but we have to accept our powerlessness and pray for peace. sadly some Christain group use the tags against Islam to try to justify their faith. But the truth is, Islam is of peace and tolerance. The Prophet said "be in the midle ground" don't compromise your faith by drinking, womanising, openly engaging in riba, lying, cheating etc simply because you think it is ok. But do things in moderation. The failures of governments to stand up for the people is also contributing lone rangers  hijacking Islam for their frustrations. Patience is a virtue. It is lame to say all religions are the same. I hope Fye Samateh can go tell that, Pope Benedict.

Amirul Mumininah –Khaliphah Omar (RA).

Here is a nice read about the life of one of the Caliphates, Omar (RA). I found the article well argued and addressed some of the concerns at hand, especially the "No compulsion in religion." It is overwhelming to see how the author of "The 100" positioned both the Prophet (PBUH) and Omar (RA). I hope you find value in this.

On a note, I understand about the current world confusion on certain things, especially with the terror age we are currently in. As far as I can visualize, terror is just in people who wants to do the act. It is found in all people of different races, tribes, religions, nations, etc...Here and there, things happen, and we are awakened from our slumbers.

I despise terror of any sort, ranging from Government terror, to fanatical and individual terror. Terror is wrong and must be condemned in no small terms. At the same time, generalization and provocation of singly Islam might not be the solution. In fact it creates the tendency for reciprocity especially if you don't belong to that sect, and your habitually hanging onto something, which truly poke you inside, and you just have to let it out. No matter how much one whines about it, the truth remains, you can never convince me (personally) that Islam means terror. A critique on these criminals is necessary, just be careful how you word it, so in your effort to enlighten and expose terror, you are not creating an environment of finger pointing or accusation, especially on a religion as magnificent as Islam is with its many followers.

There is an interesting part guys; that is the “hajj” (pilgrimage) that just got done in Mecca. I think that represents truly what Islam is about.

Emphatically though the issue with the Somalis is not religion, it is their family lineages –Rehwah kuhyi, reh kohfur, rehwah ghez, majer tate, harghesah, etc…

On a last note, as we approach Christmas, I wish all our Christian brothers and sisters a happy celebration. People all over must live in co-existence, simply live and let live! If you don’t understand fully that of others, just save yourself –let it be!

Merry X-mass and a happy new year.

Kind Regards,
Yero.
