Uncle Suntou, Omar et al,

Please help me with this name (Ismaila) here. It looks like the daily observer is trying to take advantage of the situation, to call every Tom, Dick and Harry a strong supporter. I agree with Darboe that it is people that make someone strong, especially for a politician. If Rambo was using UDP resources to be a hero or giant, he certainly doesn't have that to his advantage today. The same applies to anyone else who claims of being a mightypolitical elephant.

I thought I could share. You see my frustration, clearly.

Yero,
Thank you very much for sharing, but I am surprised that RAMBO's defection is being regarded as a reason for denigrating the opposition in general and The UDP in particular. Our zealous desire for a united opposition should not lead us into forgetting that the dictatorship makes daily forays into opposition ranks, with intent to manipulate, undermine and destabilize. There are other factors as well to which this defection can be attributable.
The area of Bakau that RAMBO represents in council is a hub of the opposition in general, and the UDP in particular. The PPP at its best could not take back this area after they became home of the vanguard for the NCP. They have politically rejected illustrious sons of Bakau like the late A.K.Njie. Well lets see what the rambling RAMBO is worth. As for his defection per se, he has every right to do whatever he wants to with himself, including of course selling his soul to the devil. He is an embarrassment to every progressive Gambian, and it is obvious that he has lost his political sagacity. Embracing Yaya Jammeh's politics of banditry, brutality and criminality? Only a dumb should do that! Albeit as democrats, we respect their rights to do so, as long as their decisions are taken without undue pressure.

Omar Joof.
