The Road to Heaven

Thoughts to Ponder

==================

It was once declared that “All roads lead to Rome.”  Rome, at that time, was the most powerful place in the known world, and in the minds of some, the most desired place to be. One was considered to be one of the elite if one was a Roman.  Well, how long did that last?  How many other nations have, at one time or another, taken her place?  And there are some now who consider themselves to be of the elite because they are Roman, Greek, Chinese, American, Jewish, or of any other country?  Or, perhaps, because they are Christian, Moslem, Mormon, Episcopalian, or any of hundreds of other sects or persuasions.

 Are you not all children of God, or whatever name you give to your Highest Source?  In His mind you all belong to Him and are greatly loved.  He bestows that love to every one of you, no matter what name you give him, no matter what religious affiliation you adhere to, or whether you are male or female. You all have a bit of His spirit within you, and that energy belongs to each of you.  It is the energy that gives you life.  In His knowingness, you are not separate.  You are One!  You are one with Him and one with each other.  The power of the god you worship is the same power that gives you the breath of life and feeds and nourishes you.  Know that all roads lead to Him!

 Eventually, you will all take that path.  When you arrive at the “Pearly Gates,” the surprise for some might be that no one will ask what religious affiliation they belong to, their gender, or what nationality they claim.

 The only qualification for entering the Kingdom is the strength of your love.  To be a godly person, you must love unconditionally:  love yourself; love your neighbor; love your planet, and love every living thing upon it.  That is not just the key to the Kingdom.  It is the key to happiness.  Those who love can find Heaven on Earth.  For the love that you give will manifest more love in return.

 The reason you came to Earth is to learn to love unconditionally, just as you are loved.  It is the goal that will change your life, bring peace to your world, and set you free.  This goal has been taught by many Heavenly teachers who have come to Earth at various times and places.  It was not meant that numerous religious beliefs would emerge due to misinterpretations of these teachings or the misrepresentation due to lust for power and self-aggrandizement.  Sometimes, however, it takes a path that is twisting and beset with stones to bring forth the impetus to lead one to a straighter path.  So if you are following a rocky road, know that love can change it.

 Note:  The word “Him” as used in reference to God, is generic.  Like the word “mankind,” it applies to both sexes.
