Dr. Jaiteh,

This is a worthy project to volunteer for. I think you need to put together a press statement distributing to our widely read online papers asking for volunteers. These are widely read papers that we need to put into good use. Many Gambians in the diaspora read these papers. Our Gambian intellectuals need to use these medium and help improve them as well.

I also think you should think outside of the box on how to expand on this... a small project engaging university students in the Gambia for a small stipend could get people more energize to work on this. Am sure the students have plenty time to devote onto this and they can be really creative.

It could also be some kind of a seminar or focus groups where this can contribute to their academic goals.

Another idea that might generate interest is organizing some form of a competition with small gifts monetary or in kind to get our smart young folks to get involve in such projects.

I strongly belief in creating value through such projects....

It would be great to get volunteers but it usually leads to half commtiment and ultimately a poor job.

We are open to placing a permanent ad on Gainako to help spread the word around for such a noble project!!!

What do you think???

Thanks

Yero,
The atlas project is meant to be collaborative so there is room for all. The idea is to allow for a much broader participation. I will suggest that you go through the website when you find time to familiarize yourself and hopefully help you identify what you can contribute.

Dr. Jaiteh,

I can be a backup incase you can't find the five volunteers. I think this is a great gesture and it must be encouraged. I am not befitting to the titles you are looking for, but can put together some progressive thoughts as contribution, especially with guidance of specifications as to what you are exactly looking for.

Good luck with the project!

Kind Regards,
Yero.
