Mawdo Demba,

Quite accurate there & well said. I just happen to think that the poor Mr. Hydara is a victim of mental illness. You know my jovial cousins (Sarahulles) normally don't act that way. With what was coming from the man, and the way he said it, I think he needs mental evaluation. Added to that should be the punishment as stipulated in the law. It is very important that the man gets some mental evaluation even if the verdict will still stay.

yes, i greatly sympathize with the family of the victim. Remember, he is part of that family, be that she was his wife.

Thanks,
Yero.

Mawdo Yero, how about the victim and her family her? As much as mental competencies should be taken into account the victim and family has to be put into consideration as well.

Besides the victim is gone for good and cannot plead her case... May the victim's soul rest in peace and may justice be rendered in her case!!!

I am really surprised that the Ikpala court didn’t find the convict mentally incompetent. While ‘murder’ is both unforgiveable and unforgettable, the court should have taken into consideration Hydara’s mental wellbeing. Having followed almost all the reportage on the court’s proceedings, I hope an appeal will be filed by his defense. The appellant in my view must petition among other things the man’s mental incompetence. It is without doubt I conclude from the man’s testimonial and lack of remorse that he suffered mental setback.
I extend my condolence to his late wife’s entire family. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
Yero
