Imam-Bakawsu Fofana Hails Jammeh For Sponsoring His Maulidnabi

BANJUL, THE GAMBIA—The controversial Gambian religious cleric Imam Ba-Kawsu Fofana, is thanking President Jammeh, for sponsoring an annual Muslim feast “Gamo” observed by his mosque paying tribute to the prophet Muhammed. The Sanchaba Sulay Jobe Imam said Mr. Jammeh’s kind gesture demonstrates his love, and commitment to advancing the Islamic religion. He describes Mr. Jammeh as a true Muslim, who dedicated his life to the services of humanity.

The Imam had written a letter  to The Gambian leader, thanking him for extending helping hands to his mosque. He informed The Gambian President  that he (Ba-Kawsu),  and his followers were very appreciative of the gesture extended to them, and would continue to pray for Jammeh’s  long life, and good health.
