Aye Aye Suntou. The South African, Libyan, and Venezuelan embassies cannot be refuge for Gbagbo and his militia. Seeking refuge in an embassy of a UN-member nation is premised on prospective protection derived from UN conventions and protections. Given that Gbagbo and his militia were violently opposed to the UN and have exacted damage in both lives and property, they cannot find secours in the protections of the UN from crimes against the UN.

It would appear then that absent South Africa, Venezuela, or Libya or any other such Gbagbo & Co. haven turning these criminals over to the UN, they are affording protection for criminals. These embassies in Ivory Coast now serve as hideouts for international criminals. I encourage President Ouattara to dispatch instructions that any embassy known to have granted secours to international criminals is contravening Ivory Coast Law and constitution and sets a dangerous precedent for violence against the UN.

Haruna.

I agree, I am on the same page with Mboge. I understand his query. The loudest one tend to hear the Pan-Camp is when the West is purportedly at fault. If Mboge would recall, I am not actually cataloguing every one of them, but certain the camp hardly ever say anything against our monsters but never hesitate to take on the West. Those are the guys I am referring to.
However, Mboge may continue to disagree, but the question will continue to be, Africa is her own worst enemy now. Just like Muslims cannot disown Ben Laden, Pan-Africans cannot disown the series of Live Presidents amongst its rank. From Sekou Toure, Kwame, Mugabe, Gbagbo, Modibo, It seems Wadda is in the fold...
The records aren't pretty at all. And the strange thing is, they all lecture us endlessly and release countless papers on their ideas.
I am proud of the Spain President who has willingly announced he will not contest any further elections at the end of his term.
Pan-Africans need to refocus their lenses on us more and less on others. Only us can change our conditions...If any disagree that, more talk is directed at the West crimes than our crimes, the facts proof otherwise.
Gbagbo has lost 80% of the Abidjan, yet the killing is going on. They should identify where he is hiding and lay siege there, allowing people to have some normalcy.

Chei! What Pan-Africanism needs a re-worked definition?  Perhaps you need to redefine the narrative you are insisting on.  Real and true Pan-Africanism have long understood and have been vocal as well as active in trying to dislodge  pseudo-Pan Africanist like Gbagbo and many like him from power who are only interested in perpetuating themselves.

One sounds like those insisting one narrative of Islam which implies that all those who are moslems are potential terrorists.

The stalemate is on the verge of ending. Gbagbo wishes blood on the streets of Ivory Coast and now, enough is running. Bravado dependency on weak armies will soon end in Africa. With the bravery of certain media platforms, people are more and more becoming aware of the fact that, dying for criminals is the worst kind of death. When some try to accuse Ouattara of not having the balls to confront Gbagbo, they were narrow minded in that, enough people are ready to take on Gbagbo and his bullies. But sometimes, to give a peace a chance is better than black on black gun battle...

When the time comes in our streets, the poorly armed Gambian military will desert also. The close state guards of Jammeh cannot stop the tide. The Gambian army are no different to Libyan military. They have weapons but no ammunition. Jammeh's mistrust lead him to store away all powerful weapons and ammunition. Our soldiers will be on the side of the people.
Abidjan bloodbath is yet another stain on mother Africa...This is why, Pan-Africanism need to redefine itself. The criminals are own black-kind, our own brothers. The West can only act if we let them and largely, we are the one's chewing each other and blaming them. Both the Ivorian Republican army and Gbagbo's men should avoid targeting unarmed civilians. The state TV has been ceased.
