Is that an I or an L between the U and the V Demba??? The La in La-Guinea is only a definite article and it doesn't mean much to La-Guineans. You know they are proud people. They'll likely torpedo the deal for sleight. Plus Burkina Faso is really prouder of Faso than Burkina. This is because they want to be known as Les hommes integres - Men with integrity (Sankara). Burkina is delimiting as to local heritage and Mali, La-GUinea, and Cocody are bound to balk at that. The French school system is heavy on philosophy and heritage. And you know the African will bring all kinds of stumbling blocks when it comes to sharing.

I want to share some more commonality in Fouta Jallon. The geology of the highlands suggests that from its peak inside La-Guinea, it fans out in a concentric series of plateaus, North, East, South, and West up to the Atlantic coast. Gambia, Senegal, Bissau, North Mali, Burkina, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, SierraLeone, and Liberia actually sit on the last such plateau. That is what is preventing the Atlantic from swallowing Senegal, Gambia, Bissau, SierraLeone, and Liberia whole.

Demba unless you come up with something better than Fouta Jallon without scaring the rest of the pack all the way to Johannesburg, my family will remain out of reach for you. If you think colonizing my family is a piece of cake, you got another thing coming.

 Haruna.

You got me laughing hard Haruna on your analogy of the bad vs the evil criminals. I concur France may be guilty which is exactly how humans should feel when they do something wrong and then pay up!

I would rather be assimilated with fewer rail roads and decent educational system than a monarchy that doesn't know I exist.

How about 'Coalition of the Awoken' to lead the pack in Africa or better even Malaise!!!! You choose.
Thx

Thank you Demba for the kind words. I take after your resourcefulness and generousity of spirit.

Perhaps France feels guilty for its crimes in colonialism. If there is a scramble for Africa again, I'd like France to take Gambia. (Just kidding). But I mean in the arena of comparative criminals, France is way down the list. And they are making ammends to La-Guinea. What I am working on now is a significant union between Mali-LaGuinea-Burkina-Ivory Coast. WOnder what we'll call it. First things first. Please help me think of a name for this country. I promise you if you help us with the name, we will get the union in or lifetime or you can colonize me and my family. What? I got my knucklehead cousin warning me of Demba's appetite to colonize other folk. And wouldn't you rather Demba colonize our family than the British? "speak for your friggin self, I don't wanna hear it." She says.

Thanx Demba. All I know is you got my vote.

Haruna,

Thanks for sharing... that is a great gesture from France and is the moral thing to do.

Although France has their own shortcomings, but I think they have always been more generous to their colonies than the British. Most french colonies in Africa were left in a better shape than the English.

It is great to see them coming to the rescue of the Ivorian people and I hope they lobby for a complete debt write off for Ivory Coast... they deserve a break.

Thanks again for sharing... you are very resourceful Haruna.

quickly to normalcy and reduce the suffering. Thank you France!!!! This is what a responsible partner does. Assist your partner in fighting disease and disaster, then assist in the quick recovery and mending of souls. I love ze French. Haruna. 400 million EUROS!!!!!!!!! And so quickly when it matters????? The UN can learn a lot from France when they consider recovery for Japan this month. I love Sarkozy, the other idiot. You know this got me thinking. If you have so many idiots in the world, you need a number of countervailing idiots. So Sarkozy and I are the countervailing idiots. Think about it!!! Brother Saiks.
