CDS Kinteh thanks President Jammeh Africa » Gambia Friday, June 03, 2011 Lieutenant General Masanneh Kinteh, the chief of Defence Staff of The Gambia Armed forces has written to the Gambian leader who is also the commander-In-Chief of the Gambia Armed Forces, thanking him for donating tractors to the Gambia Armed Forces. The letter reads: The service chiefs, General Officers and other ranks of the entire Gambia Armed Forces join me with pleasure in thanking His Excellency the president of the republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Sheikh Professor Alhaji Doctor Yahya AJJ Jammeh for the tractors he donated to the Gambia Armed Forces.   This gesture is significant to the Armed Forces in so many ways.  First it is yet another manifestation of His Excellency’s love and commitment for the Armed Forces.  At the same time, the tractors will go a long way in complimenting the farming efforts of The Gambia Armed Forces. I wish to hereby re-assure His Excellency that the entire GAF supports his visionary call for Gambians to grow what they eat and eat what they grow.  I promise that the tractors will be put into good use and will be well maintained and carefully handled.
