In this special edition, President Alassane Dramane Ouattara pays a courtesy call on former President Henri Konan Bedie in Daokro. You will remember that during the second round of elections, President Bedie had thrown his support behind President Ouattara which accrued Ouattara victory over Gbagbo.

Bedie and Ouattara share a good part of their political histories, both being members of the Houphetiste party of Ivory COast's first president and elder statesman Houphet Boigny. Ouattara and Bedie were both barred from contesting the presidential elections that would be the beginning of the end for Gbagbo.

President Ouattara's cabinet is a national unity governance cabinet composed of members of Ouattara's party, Bedie's party, and yes some moderate members of Gbagbo's party. Bedie lives among his kinsmen in Daokro. In this visit, he shares of his experience with the younger Ouattara.
