Nakebba:

I enjoy your humour.  But why bringing Kotokay Lamin Waa Juwara into this matter?  Mr. Juwara, is a "reformed" man.  Good luck on his new merger with Jilanka.   Do not endanger his job.  He has no clue about what goes around Kanilai, and the State House.  He is a senior citizen having good time in Mansakonko.  Leave him alone.....

There is no excuse to justify his " change of heart" but the truth be told the guy was a loner in the struggle to tackle the dictatorship.  There were instances he puts his life on the line to fight for the rights of oppressed Gambians. These are historical facts, which needs to be acknowledged despite one's hatred, or opposition to Juwara's shift of allegiance to BaBilimansa.

You might say he betrayed the UDP, but the fact of the matter remains that he was one of the most shinning lights of the party.  During his time the UDP was proactive, and functional. It's sad that you lose such a political heavyweight.... Juwara was widely feared by the status quo.

Ron:  My biggest concern is the lack of sense of direction among your party militants overseas.  Do not be distracted by petty squabbles.  Raise funds, and go campaign for Ousainanou  if you can.  Ellen, or the Mighty Post is not the right forum to spew Darboe propaganda, or PR stunt. Make the change you want to happen.... Stop the bickering, and the blame game.

By the way, why do you spent all your day on ELLEN quarreling?  Don't you know that it is an electioneering year for The Gambia?  I seriously question your loyalty to the UDP. What are you doing to get Darboe elected as the third President of Republic?  Leave Joe Joe alone.... He is not Darboe's opponent... Thanks for your attention Kotoma.

Ron:

The Gamtel travel ban, and overseas training memo for its staffers was premised on the State House latest decree on tax benefits.  You should have forwarded both communications to the GL for the readership to discern the stories.  You merely copied the text of our story leaving the two important documents.  Do not be confused by the state house's usage of the word freeze on " Allowance taxes."
For your information, each time senior Government officials travel outside The Gambia, they are paid # 100 British pounds Sterling as Per Dieum allowance.  That's what they meant by tax allowance.  Perhaps, you need to educate more on this.....

By the way:  Thanks for slanting our story.  Ron is the new Jammeh media mogul in town. Thanks  Mr. "Fault Finder" for correcting us.  Read between the lines, and stop the misrepresentation of facts.  Ron is an expert on every damn thing.  Give us a break son!   You better appreciate the free services being accorded to you from our end. How about if you visit Freedom in the next few days and you  are prompted to pay before you read such big stories?   Ha Ha Ha ha.... Just watch!

Kotoma: If your Dear Leader Darboe was able to develop sources with the NIA, and the whistle-blowers in Government, perhaps,  it would have been much easier to finish the Jammeh Government through the might of information. Please encourage him to be organizing press conferences- by updating the press with such revelations. It's about time for you guys to stop the online heroism and focus on the common enemy.  What are you doing for your country Ron?  That's my challenge to all loud mouth online experts.   Just a thought.

Gambia Government Declares Moratorium On Overseas Travel Allowances!
JAMMEH DECREES TRAVEL BAN AGAINST GAMTEL, CENTRAL BANK, AND OTHER LINE MINISTRIES
Gambia’s financial meltdown warranted a Government decree banning official trips for public officials with immediate effect, according to Information Ministry memo obtained by the Freedom Newspaper. The decision was reached during the just concluded Government retreat in Kanilai—the home village of dictator Yahya Jammeh, where cabinet discusses the nation’s uncertain so called Vision 20-20 blueprint developmental program. The new travel ban, the first of its kind affects all Government Ministries, including The Gambia Telecommunication Company GAMTEL.
Writing on behalf of the Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service, Mr. Muhamadou Lamin Jaiteh, in a Memo dated June 16 titled “ Freeze on taxes on all allowances of public enterprises, Authorities, and Agencies” said an Executive Directive has been given for a moratorium to be placed on the payment of fringe benefit tax for all public enterprise, National authorities, and agencies, including the Central Bank of The Gambia till further notice.
By a copy of this letter, Mr. Jaiteh went on “all Government Ministries should inform public enterprises as well as National authorities and agencies under their purview that taxes on staff allowances are frozen with effect from end May 2011.” “Gambia Revenue Authority is hereby instructed to act on the above directive with immediate effect.”
As Gambians are bracing up for change, more and more disturbing revelations are emerging from Jammeh’s bankrupt regime. Below is the GAMTEL whistleblower’s latest dispatch to the Freedom Newspaper. Please read on.
By Yahya Jammeh, Gamtel Whistleblower
Dear Pa,
As promised find attached of some documents.  Please inform the entire Gambia that this is the beginning of the liberation and will never rest till justice is done in GAMTEL.
Thank you.
