Try resetting your password to a new one or calling AOL if you still want to keep your AOL account. Your email could have been compromised by someone else who had you in their contacts list and whose email was compromised. I hope you had closed your hotmail account a long time ago.

I am sorry for the continued problem with this email address. I
am not the one sending out all those mails. My email address has been
compromised. I had this email address for so many years, and it is the
only one I have. I tried to change my password but AOL is asking me for
the security question which I could not recall, and I have been
unsuccessful since this problem was brought to my attention to change
the password. Please delete all messages from this email address should
you receive one, especially those that look suspicious. I will try to
have another email address and abandon this one. Thanks.

Guys Rene did indeed response to say his email has been hijacked and
sending out malicious emails. He advised to delete and not open the
attachment.
Get a Google email guys because theirs is encrypted and they can't
access your email. Don't know about you but am Google all the way!!!
