More messages for President Jammeh

Thursday, October 13, 2011
The Gambian leader His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh  continue to receive more messages on the occasion of the Muslim feast of Koriteh from people within the country.

The latest messages came from Musa J. Ceesay, a resident of Darsilameh Village in Lower Fulladou West District, Central River Region; Karamo S. Saidykhan, of Busumbala Village, Kombo North, West Coast Region; and Momodou Soma Jobe, former Governor of the Lower River Region.

The messages read:

It gives me a great pleasure to write you this letter. I want to take this opportunity to extend my  greetings to you, your family and your entire government on the occasion of the noble Koriteh.

I am also expressing my gratitude on your government’s development endeavours across our dear motherland. I am praying for Almighty Allah’s unlimited blessing to be bestowed on your government, to enable you to work beyond expectation. Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.

.......................................
On the event of the recently celebrated Muslim feast of Idul Fitri and on the July 22nd Revolution, it is my fervent desire to extend to you and through you to your entire family on my own behalf, and on behalf of my family our heartiest congratulations, well wishes, prayers and highest regards.

Your Excellency, appreciating the truth of your charismatic leadership, which is undisputedly evident by the immeasurable development projects implemented and being implemented by your government, and whose amalgamation has no doubt culminated into a sense of pride and self-esteem among all patriotic citizens here and abroad, remains a human quality that posterity shall emulate.

As the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana had said, planted seed takes time to germinate before sprouting into glorious foliage that becomes visible to the eye. On your entrance to this authority in 1994 which was destined only by Allah, several baseless criticisms were endured by you and your supporters, but through perseverance and hard work, all these criticisms have changed by divine power into praises and appreciation by the very critics.

Your Excellency, kindly allow me to observe that to the best appreciation of most Africans, you are gradually emerging as a continental symbol that the whole world shall copy from.  Your untiming commitment to the welfare and development of humanity which knows no boundaries, in my opinion, serves as the single most important factor for your success.

Faith in Allah makes us to be convinced that the more you humanly endeavour for this, the broader shall the Almighty Allah’s provision for you and your family. A few months ago, it was brought to the knowledge of Gambians that the National Council of Seyfo-lu which is composed of loyal, committed, patriotic, hardworking and decent citizens of this land, had thought of kingship and toured this country to share this idea with the citizenry.

Sir, for one believes that given Your Excellency will and contributions to humanity at individual, group, community, national and international levels, that idea and its subsequent pronouncement has been nothing but the work of divine power and will and even if there was something in leadership more than being a king, Allah can certainly make you so.

I therefore wish to give it all my support. To conclude Sir, I wish once again to reaffirm my stand and support to you and the APRC, sincerely, I would like to thank you once more for the opportunity you gave me to serve in the APRC and your government in the various status I had served in.

By the same token, I wish to register my readiness to play an active role as a committed member of APRC in the forthcoming presidential and subsequent elections, and also show my desire to respond to any of your calls and assigned responsibilities or duties.

Your Excellency, please accept once again my sincere congratulations and well wishes for your long life, good health and prosperity and that of your family.
