Banjul hands over ‘Dello Njukal’ money

The money realised from the ‘Dello Njukal Initiative for President Jammeh’
amounting to D9, 860, 00, was Wednesday presented to the APRC  youth
mobiliser, Babou Gaye Sonko at the APRC Political Bureau in Kanifing for
onward delivery to the Gambian leader ahead of the presidential candidate
nomination today.

Speaking at the The money realised from the ‘Dello Njukal Initiative for
President Jammeh’ amounting to D9, 860, 00, was Wednesday presented to the
APRC  youth mobiliser, Babou Gaye Sonko at the APRC Political Bureau in
Kanifing for onward delivery to the Gambian leader ahead of the
presidential candidate nomination today. ocassion, Aja Yama Njie, a
committee member of the Banjul APRC Youth Wing explained that ‘Dello
Njukal’ is a Wollof word meaning ‘reciprocating good gesture’.

She further explained that its objective is ensure that every APRC youth in
Banjul contributes D1 for the candidacy of President Jammeh in the
presidential election nomination.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the APRC, Babou Gaye Sonko thanked the
youths of Banjul for the good gesture, adding that the youths of the
country will show to President Jammeh that they are ready to come out and
vote for him massively during the presidential election.

He said President Jammeh has empowered the youths  and it is now time for
them to reciprocate the good gesture.  Sonko also noted that the ‘Dello
Njukal President Jammeh Initiative’, which was launched by the youths of
Banjul has been emulated by youths from other regions of the country.

For her part, Nancy Njie, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Jammeh
Foundation for Peace (JFP) said the initiative by the youths of Banjul is a
clear manifestation of their love for President Jammeh, who, according to
her, has done a lot for the youths of this country.

Hon. Haddy Nyang-Jagne, National Assembly member for Jeshwang Constituency
expressed similar sentiments.
