My contention has always been - The opposition parties unite ONLY to yield a level playing field for free and fair elections. Not to unite and prosecute stolen and fraudulent elections. That in the absence of uniting to level the field, the opposition MUST NOT UNITE as ONE party AND They MUST Boycot the elections either separately (if they cannot do it in unison) or in UNISON as separate parties. Haruna.
Now in relation to our two foregoing, if similar, positions, the act of comitting fraud in elections MUST always be prosecuted by ALL citizens, to include agglomerations of political parties, civil society organizations, fraternities, sororities, and Traditional Associations and Collectives. The commission of Crimes against the state/nation is what transpired on Nov. 24th, 2011 in Gambia. The crime was committed against all citizens. We therefore move from urging/encouraging opposition political parties to UNITE (now for nought) because the non-completion of that plea is NOT CRIMINAL. We now focus on prosecuting the Crimes against the Nation/State. The life of the Nation continues.
Thank you Karim for affording me this opportunity at clarifications.
Haruna.
