Bro Cherno,

The poem is meant to be an open read. Rene has given a nice reading of it from one angle. Essentially it describes a message from one entity explaining motives that seem to be misunderstood or misrepresented by another entity on the receiving end of the communication process. Hope this helps.

By the way, I'm still looking forward to the full story on the Fropessor's latest doctorate from Taiwan. Thanks.

Bro Baba,
You may have to help some of us here. I read the poem but could not figure out the tell from the head... May be I need to take a rudimentary course in poetry.... :)

Wow, Baba. A simply and nice poem. This is my take on the poem: The central theme of the poem are on the two words, "words" and "voice." The former is a statement on 'something' that is; and the latter is an expression of 'something' on that which is. There is a subtle difference.

The poet sees the words, something that has been stated, for what that statement or writing stands for, and nothing more. However, the voice as insinuated by the reference to hankering, appears to be critical of that which is stated or written. The poet then affirms that his statement or what is written "was not begging for expression." It is just what it is: meant to humor or even to educate.

Baba,  am I close? Regards.

Rene
