Thanks Bambalaye for sharing.

I appreciate the idea but, the sculpture contains an element that makes me cringe like Haruna's annoying punctuation fixation. The use of the bus is obvious. The pushup makes sense because as the artist stated, "every athlete completes them for training" but, for me, the sculpture fell short when he chose to use a male sounding groan. He could have done a number of things-

1. He could have timed it where every 10th pushup the groan changes to a female groan.

2. He also could have rigged it to provide vocalized educational facts on more common preparations that all athletes go through. I can only imagine what it takes in the way of training and it would have been a moment to sit more with the sculpture and listen to a rundown.

4. If the voice is his, which it could be, then its overkill. His signature is on the front of the bus so, instead David could have used two former Olympic gold medalist, one male -one female, as collaboraters. That would have given the piece further leverage and an element of history

I was a little heartbroken for female athletes or their supporters and I pray to God a female artist, who shares the same irritation, tape records a female groan and places it near the sculpture with a sticky note attached that says, press here for an enhancement to the sculpture you are viewing.

Artist of the Day -Andy Warhol. I knew I liked him for a reason. Now I like him even more.

In celebration of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, a Czech artist has transformed one of London’s classic double-decker buses into a giant push-up machine. The sculpture moans and groans with every repetition, a symbol of the effort it takes to become an Olympic athlete.
