Mawdo demba, I don't think that is fair. We've had these kinds of debates and provocations from way back, at least on the post, as I'm fairly new on the l. We had all sorts of situations, including insults etc. I think people join and leave at their will, and has always been the case... If u recall way back we had ebou jalliw, binneh Minteh and othrs accused of all sorts of things. I think the problem we have now is that I'm the only supporter of babili mansa left. So dome may find my posts tasteless. However, that doesn't mean we shouldn't continue to voice our opinion. Like others, I believe there will be a time for me to move on... And others will fill my gap.

To be insensitive to those suffering the brunt of this regime where families and lives are shattered is what is irritating and beyond comprehension. The 'in your face attitude' of provoking people without any sense of respect is just mind bothering.

As a result of this many people have either left these forums or have decided not to participate in debates all together. I think we have reached a stage of maturity in our online presence and we should be able to have mature policy debates without reducing our conversations into a bantaba unproductive praise singing that we all know are false and pretentious.

Some of us do not support Yahya Jammeh and do not wish him to be imposed on us as our president. With all due respect, I think you should not go out of your way to deliberately provoke the critics and opponents of Mr. Jammeh by imposing him as "their" president. Call him "My President" or the "Gambian President"; anything but "Your President". He is definitely not my president because I am totally opposed to his brutal dictatorship and total lack of respect for my rights as a Gambian citizen. Live and let live is the bedrock of political civility.
