- “Overstaying in power should no longer be allowed. It is time to revisit term for the presidency,”

- “The Gambia is a signatory to many human rights protocols and conventions. Therefore, the Jammeh administration should fulfill its obligations, locally and internationally, and promote and protect human rights.
“I am also appealing to President Jammeh to grant amnesty to all political prisoners. This would be a credit to the government, because all these contribute to the country’s poor ranking on human rights,”

-  “We will continue defending the interest of the country. We will stand firm on our decisions and do what is expected of us.”

- “Being an APRC or opposition sympathiser, everyone needs to enjoy development. It is very wrong for the Jammeh administration to state that only those who voted for the APRC would enjoy development. That is undemocratic"

- “The fact of the matter is that every Gambian pays tax. So when it comes to development, every constituency should benefit, irrespective of their political affiliation, and not to be segregated by the executive,”

- Mr Jallow also called on Gambians to consider voting opposition into parliament, saying that this would promote democracy.

He was however quick to assert that it is rather unfortunate that Gambian voters threatened by the powers that be. “This is worrying and sad because democracy is about equality. In The Gambia, the electorate are threatened by the [Jammeh] administration. Kiang West is one such typical example.”
