There comes a time when decent men and women cannot standby and watch themselves and their fellow citizens being rid of what is left of them... There comes a time when ignoring certain circumstances amounts to digging our own graves for failing to stop blatant injustices... There comes a time when true citizens ought to stand with each other to say enough is enough... And there comes a time when a citizen are tested in every angle, for their humanness, their integrity, their self esteem and most importantly their right to do the right thing..

Two of our fellow citizens.. despite their disagreement with the ruling government, despite draconian laws passed to silence them, despite the suppression of their constitutional rights.. respectfully obeyed the law and applied for a permit to peacefully demonstrate in Gambia. Now they have been arrested, charged and are being prosecuted for possible long jail sentences...

Efforts are being mounted led by the humble Gainako editor Yero Jallow to raise some funds and help these citizens defend themselves and their constitutional rights... Someone somewhere with some time regardless of who or where needs to initiate a call to rescue... Please join your fellow citizens @ http://www.gainako.com/ and raise funds in defense of these citizens... Absolute transparency and openness is guaranteed.

You have the will and the wisdom to help protect the rights of generations to come.. You got it in you... and we are sure you can find the meager resources to contribute morally and financially...The life you safe may be your own!!!!

Thank you for standing up for justice and with your fellow citizens...

Sincerely,

Demba in defense of justice....
