Jeh Nyang, I thought you were on my side, no? :-)! I believe you want to give Yero, Demba et al and easy exit, for the Juwara news throws a monkey wrench on their assumptions and all I have to do is to watch the shifting on the seats. Jokes aside, the timing of UWaa's trashing cannot make their position more difficult and is a good contrast. Why do I say that? Well, Uwaa was on this side of the isle and decided to join Yaya for his greed not withstanding the good ole whooping from Yaya and I have written extensively on that. Uwaa has prison badges of his own, and I believe he has more train track designs on his back than Amadou. Uwaa the "King Maker" was also an expert on Jammeh and has said many things about Jammeh, and also the opposition, the last jab being just a couple of weeks ago. So, it would be interesting how our friends will treat Uwaa. Although Uwaa not only broke the bridge when he crossed over, but he burnt and buried the remains, which makes it very difficult for him to even consider a retreat to this side of the fence. However, that should not be a problem for our kind hearted brothers to consider Uwaa an asset. For my part, consistency and equal treatment for similar circumstances is what is required and this case of Uwaa is a slam dunk. Uwaa, before he runs any where (not that I forsee him doing that) must explain to Gambians why he mortgaged his soul and to also atone for his threacherous behavior. Yeah, fat chance! My friends should not wait for Uwaa to come to them though for they did not wait for Amadou to come to them. If Amadou is an asset, why not Uwaa? The Uwaa case is a litmus test of their standards. I now step aside and let the youngsters as you put it craft cutting edge solutions for the Uwaa dilema.

Yero, Great of you!
Both LJ and Joe have proven to be authorities on matters Dr. Janneh on his past record vis a vis the Jammeh government. When i saw this news of Juwara's sacking my mind went to you and Demba on what LJ alluded to as those to go through for readdmission into Conscienceland. You two gentlemen are so generous for me i am a revolutionary. I do not believe in scraping and pasting, rather total change in ways and means. That is why i will not have much to do with people like Dr. Janneh. The little experience i had with him in his private business office - COMMIT, in Kotu was enough for me to know what timber he is made of. This was in 2009 when he was no longer a minister.
good night, can guess you pleased with your candidate Obama in the debate.

Hi bro Modou,

You got me in laughing mood (LOL).
Despite being the forum bug, I am willing to step aside for the long timers to dissect this one for us. I agree with you that our situation has become so complicated that daily opinions can be just out blank critical. I don't think Juwara will escape Jammeh's long elephant tusk this time around. Since you are an admirer of Che, I am sure you will find his doctrine reasoning with mine.
Jokingly, you will also agree that a debate is nicer when there is more than one side.
Jokes aside, we are more into fighting against injustices rather than fighting for individuals.
Your request is granted Modou. LJD et al, the floor is open.
Best,
Yero

Now, the question is as relating to DR. Janneh, should we or not accept Juwara back if he decides to come to us to continue the struggle we were into together? My friends Yero and Demba, might well start preparing the ground to welcome back our lost mbarodi. Or what you think?
The debate on Dr. Janneh was very good and i encourage young ones like myself, Demba and Yero to take a little back seat and listen to grandees of these forums continue their dialoque.

LJD,

I will let Joe give Juwara a good bash first.

During the July 4th 2005 get-together in Atlanta (Launching of NADD), it was Juwara who told the august gathering that "How can they ask me to be law-abiding when I am not a law breaker?"

Right after the parliamentary elections leading to his defection to the APRC, Juwara told us that he was an elderly statesman from Niamina and he was required to support the APRC candidate. Slowly, slowly –he crept not unnoticed to his onetime torturer.

During the time that we were working on a UGAMA conference, Juwara rhetorically asked one of my confidants (Ebrima Dibba), thus “When last did you guys get a bag of rice in my house?”

Most recently, he was seen on TV and the Daily observer hammering the opposition and branding critics of this regime as not development oriented.

Anyway, not a surprised of his fire. We expected this for a while.

Best,
Yero

YJ

This is a major vindication for Pa Nderry and Freedom

The Government has the biggest microphone in Banjul but I can assure you people are not fooled. I guess Freedom got the government truly riled

And your friend Juwara is out of a job

What a shame again!

If for anything, what else will his aged parents do other than come out that way, otherwise they risked getting into trouble with the state terror machinery.

It is obvious that even if his parents were supporters of the APRC, Pa is still entitled to his political opinion.

I think that such intimidation tactics must be condemned in the strongest terms. Sad times in the Gambia...this is probably in revenge for the interview with VP Njie Saidy.

Keep your head high Pa....as long as you are doing your best to support your parents morally and financially during times of need. Many are dealing with similar situations.

Thanks for sharing LJD.

Best,
Yero
