Komutan Chongs,

There is nothing wrong with group lottery! The country is for all and sundry and not only for heroes or people with experiences like yourself only but anyone who can muster the courage and necessary leadership. We all have a right to condemn those who dined and wined with Jammeh until they are booted and are now forming parties, but we cannot prevent them from forming parties or organization, lest we become dictatorial like Jammeh. All our political parties and organizations at inceptions can be accused of self appointments as there are no convention or elections that chose those leaderships. The difference is after forming those groups, how that leadership changes and what processes are in place for those leadership changes, as seen in the STGDP.

Since the formation of NTGC or whatever it is called. we have many negative comments about forming new groups. There are numerous media houses and no one is asking them to come together and CSAG and GMC were formed many moons ago but no one was this critical. But the newest group seem to be stimulating this sorts of debates not only here but on facebook too with groups and individuals feeling threatened, among other reactions being seen.

The rule of law and fairness should have been our vanguard even before Jammeh, for that is way to avoid tyranny and I hope that we have learnt our lessons. We cannot afford to be unfair in what ever office we occupy, from the army to the civil service! For if we do, people will feel you have to be Wollof to succeed in the army, for instance and that leads to incompetency and unprofessionalism.
