Thanks Joe,

I hope they consider other ways of getting rid of Yaya rather than a prolong warfare and that is why it important to not leave them on their own volition otherwise less competent people will lead them into a prolonged warfare and our country will suffer. Senegal is our ally even though some of the political commentators make sycophantic comments for the benefit of our head of state's ego. Senegal may indeed be after its interest which incidentally includes getting rid of the MFDC, who have their main support in our head of state. Hence our interests coinciding. About alerting Jammeh about their intention, that may be good, arguably for propaganda, which is a good thing but they should be ready to back it up with the use of force of denial of Jammeh from travelling or even governing. Jammeh will tire his guards with a permanent standby and in that process they will let their guard down sooner or later.  The NTCG should not be underestimated as they seem to have abundant resources. What is worrying is their tactic and the after maths.

Indeed Gambia should not be treated like anyone's private enterprise and what we can give to Senegal is limited in this regard in both time and the sovereignty. I,e, even if we agree to any confederation, the Gambian people will eventually decide whether to stay in that arrangement when normalcy returns.
